 Cleanse your face without soap!

All natural cleansing grains remove makeup, exfoliate, clean your skin,
smell awesome, AND feel awesome.

cleansing grains are an excellent way to cleanse your face without soap.

soap has an alkaline pH, which enables grease and oil to be soluble in water. Unfortunately, this destroys the acid mantle on your face. the acid mantle kills bacteria and protects your skin.

cleansing grains have a neutral pH and will not affect the acid mantle. they clean by gentle, mechanical exfoliation.

cleansing grains can be made of finely powdered clays, herbs, possibly an exfoliant like rice powder, and other ingredients.

You can custom design your cleansing grains to suit your own skin type. If you're going to use them every day, make sure the powder is VERY finely ground and that you use more clay and herbs than any exfoliating ingredient.

I used rice powder in mine because it's supposed to lighten the skin, and I'm always interested in diminishing freckles. rice can be very drying, though, so make sure to apply moisturizer (hemp oil!) afterwards.

My Recipe

  • Rosemary from my garden
  • Dried, organic calendula
  • Jasmine rice
  • Bentonite clay

Place all ingredients in a coffee grinder. Grind it up.

That's it!

How to Use

  • Place 1 teaspoon of the powder in the palm of your hand;
  • Add water, a few drops at a time to form a thick paste;
    • for gentler exfoliation, form a thinner paste;
  • Apply the paste all over your face;
  • Gently rub in circles, covering your whole face slowly;
  • Rinse with warm water;
  • Rinse with cold water;
  • Pat dry;
  • Tone;
  • Moisturize with hemp oil.
