Homemade Lemon Hair Spray

Looking for an all-natural hair spray that you can make yourself for pennies??? Here it is!

It's pretty awesome! It gives your hair a nice, medium hold and adds volume if you use it before hair drying. I only use it once or twice a month, so I can't really speak to whether it lightens the hair after awhile. I would assume it does. I've seen recipes using oranges for brunettes and will try and report on that eventually!

In the meantime, here's the recipe.

Ingredients:

1 whole organic lemon
A cup of distilled water

How to Make It:

Cut the lemon into small pieces. Place them into a small pot and pour water in. Let the water boil and then turn the heat to as low as you can get it and cover the pot. Let it simmer for 3-5 hours until liquid is reduced to half. Turn off the heat and let it cool. Strain and pour it into a spray bottle.

This can be kept in the fridge for a week or two. You can also freeze some of it.

To Use:

Bend over so your hair hangs down. Spritz towel-dried hair from root to tip. Style as usual. That's it!
