Raspberry Salicylic Acid Fruit Peel for Clogged Pores

smush the fruit

Fruit peels are awesome! I've added salicylic acid to this one to make it even more effective on clogged pores / closed comedones.

__________

After all these decades as a hippie, I've never smeared fruit on my face. I'm ashamed. And I'm here to rectify the situation.

I've been trying all kinds of fruits, and this one seemed to work really well.

This recipe will result in a mask/peel that has an approximately 20% concentration of salicylic acid. Test on the back of your wrist (the sensitive part) to make sure it's not too strong for you!

Fruity Raspberry Salicylic Acid Mask:
  • 3 - 4 ripe raspberries
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon alcohol
  • 1/4 teaspoon salicylic acid powder

Smush the raspberries in a bowl with a fork. Add honey and blend.

In another container, mix the salicylic acid and alcohol until it's clear.

Add the alcohol / salicylic acid mixture to the raspberry honey mixture and blend.

Put it on your face!

Let the mask sit for 1/2 hour or longer, to give the salicylic and citric acids time to work. Rinse off, finishing with a splash of cold water.

Pat dry and apply a couple drops of hemp oil for moisturizer.

That's it!!!
