This kid. Simple outfit. Striking look. |
I'll be using a lot of exclamation marks in this post.
The Rail Yards Market is "a celebration of Albuquerque arts, food, culture and music."
(That's from their website, as is this:
"The Rail Yards Market is focused on building a resilient, sustainable local economy that we all love to work and play in. Through food, art, and music, we hope to bring our community together in an atmosphere of fun, learning, and creativity. Rail Yards Market is a community organization operating under the the fiscal sponsorship of a Barelas Community Coalition, a certified 501(c)(3)."
O my god, it's so fun and awesome.
The Rail Yards themselves are so cool. The look of the place is like, industrial magnificence.
Where:
The Yards 777 1st st SW, Albuquerque, NM 87102
When:
Sundays, 9 am to 3 pm (from May 4 to November 2)
The Rail Yards Market has live music, dance performances, food, awesome STUFF for sale, and lots of really cool people with really cool style. I almost can't stand it.
According to the website, the Rail Yards Market is the place to "engage with the heart of our shared community!" The shared community is the essence of the Southwest, really. We have influences from so many places/cultures.
If I'm going to find a true Albuquerque style (what is that, really?), it will be here.
