O wow! I started making these awesome little pins, and they're SO easy!!!
I started with these pin setting frames from Kailea. She has all shapes and sizes and they're perfect for this project. I just bought a pack of 30 because THESE ARE SO FUN TO MAKE!!!
It comes apart in three pieces: the back, with the pin on it; the center disc that you cover with fabric or whatever; the frame that holds it all together.
Start by cutting out a piece of fabric about 1/2 inch larger in diameter than the center disc.
Arrange the fabric over the disc and pull the edges tight behind it. You can put a couple dabs of glue on the edges to hold them down.
Place the whole thing into the frame and hold tight.
Attach the back and fold the prongs down to hold everything together. I used needle-nosed pliers.
Voila!
Here's a great tutorial.
