Here's one of my favorite concoctions: Vanilla Mocha Balm. This recipe makes a little more than a cup (8 ounces) of balm.
(Here's a slightly different version of a coffee balm from an earlier post.)
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup (2.5 ounces) Coffee butter (I got mine from From Nature with Love)
- 1/3 cup (2.5 ounces) Vanilla-infused sweet almond oil
- 1/3 cup (2.5 ounces) Cocoa butter
- 2 tablespoons (0.5 ounces) coffee-infused sweet almond oil
Nest the vessel in a small pan to create a double boiler.
Heat over a low flame until all the ingredients melt together, stirring occasionally.
Pour your blend into a heat-safe jar (I use a mason jar).
That's it! It smells DIVINE!!!
I use it all over my body (except my clog-prone face, of course). It's a bit thick at first, but it melts as soon as you rub it on your skin.
Put it all in a vessel. |
Heat it up slowly |
until it melts together |
Admire your perfect blend! |
Pour it in there! I poured mine over an older batch that has little snips of vanilla bean in it. |
Lovely! |
Very cool texture. Awesome scent. Soothing and softening on your skin. |
